LED fog light bulbs are all the rage these days, but most consumers are being swayed by flashy marketing tactics and exaggerated numbers. As informed enthusiasts, we find the whole spectacle quite amusing. Claims of 100W power and 10,000 lumens, along with supposed top-secret LED chip formulas, may sound impressive, but how do they really perform on the road at night? Isn't that what fog lights are meant for?


2STROKE 2.0:

We've been cautious about entering this market, as we value our reputation and wouldn't sell anything we didn't believe in. However, the Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0 system caught our attention after extensive testing against various competitors. Surprisingly, we were genuinely impressed with how well they perform. SAFETY:

With the 2Stroke Bulbs, you can drive at night without putting yourself at risk. Previously, we only recommended LED bulbs for auxiliary lighting, high beams, and fog lights due to their limitations. However, the 2Stroke bulbs changed the game with unique optics that produce exceptional beam patterns and measured lux at a distance, making them perfect for on-road use in fog lights.


MODERN:

The updated 2Stroke 2.0 version features cutting-edge Z ES chips from Philips Lumileds, offering maximum lumen density and precise light output that mimics original halogen bulbs. Unlike other LED fog light bulbs using small chips in a row, the Philips Z ES stands out as a superior choice.


PRETTY COOL:

Effective heat management is crucial for reliability and lumen maintenance. The 2Stroke bulbs' copper boards efficiently extract heat from the LED chips and transfer it to the one-piece CNC-machined 6061 alumin radiator housing. The compact yet powerful cooling system incorporates a magnetic levitating fan for optimal performance.


SIZE MATTERS:

Unlike most LED bulbs, the 2Stroke 2.0 is impressively compact while maintaining active cooling. Morimoto took great care in balancing size, power input to the LED chips, and thermal management to ensure a perfect fit for fog lights with solid plastic rear housing caps.
